Right, I need to get my ar*e in gear really, don't I? I haven't really been doing much photography recently, mostly because I've had very little motivation and my inspiration and just been wittled down to near nothing-ness. It sucks, really, but I'm determined to pick it up a bit more. I might be getting some new lights soon, when I save up the money for it, and I'm going to try and start some work on some portraiture and maybe more conceptual pieces.

Starting the 9th June, the only subject that I'll be taking at school is Photography, as I've dropped all of my other subjects, so there will definitely be more work coming from me. I haven't decided on what sort of theme I'm going to go for yet with my journals, but I'll come up with something, hopefully. Any ideas? I was thinking maybe Musical Inspiration, but I'm still debating how far I'd be able to work with that.

Final exam is on Thursday, so I'm looking forward to that and then I have five days just relaxing and doing bugger all. Which I obviously haven't been doing during my study leave anyway. But yes, once I'm back at school, I will be getting some photography done, so you should see a bit more of my, hopefully.

Just twenty-one days until my birthday and then I'll be seventeen. Ho'crap. I'll be able to drive, just not very well. I think we'd better warn the neighbours that they're going to have a learner driver on their hands soon, just so they know why there's a car parked in their living room.

Anyway, that's about all from me, for now. Time to go back to listening to Fall Out Boy's new album, Folie A Deux. It's bloody addictive, and it makes me want to watch that X-Files episode. "Folie A Deux; the madness of two." I've watched that episode too many times.

Sorry. ]: I haven't really had the time to properly update this for a while, but I have been doing stuff, I promise! I'm going to be starting a Photography course at college next month, hopefully, alongside my A-Levels that I'm doing in Sixth Form. Hopefully, this should mean better photos and possibly more uploads onto here. I am on various other sites, at the moment, and quite a bit more active on those than I am on here. I made a livejournal the other day and I'm going to start updating that as much as possible with a few photographs here and there in the entries. Feel free to add me as a friend on there. <3

Also, I was wondering if anyone knows of any really good photo retouching tutorials for using the liquify tool and such. I'm going to start trying to do more portraits and I thought it would be interesting to try and learn how it is that they get models to look like they do in magazines. I found a couple of decent tutorials, but it'd be great if anyone knew of any other ones out there that I can use for free. -is a bit broke at the moment-

Wow, I haven't posted anything on here in ages. o_O
Yeah, sorry that I haven't posted any photos or any more of that photo manipulation tutorial. Seriously, I've been swamped. It's like the attack of the school work just in a less dramatic way.
But yes, I've had a lot of school work recently and I haven't really had time to work on my tutorial. And all of the photos I've taken I just.. haven't been satisfied with.

However, today I had my first proper photoshoot with proper lighting and equipment. It was amazing! I had so much fun doing it and I really liked the results. I'll probably post a few up on here for you all to see, though most of them will end up in my Photography A-Level journal rather than on here.

Again, I'm sorry but I have had much higher priorities recently. I'll try and sort out the Manipulation thing as soon as I can, but it depends on when I can get the time to do it.

I'm getting myself a new laptop on Saturday. :3
Can't wait. I have to use my little sister's at the moment because my one is knackered. DX Well, the power adaptor is. Plus, I've basically worn away the keyboard and the mouse pad. o_O
I've basically over-used it in the two or three years I've had it. Poor thing.

But yes, I'm getting a new laptop and, on that, I will install my new version of Paint Shop Pro that I got the other day. And, then, I will work on the tutorial. I'm running out of time on my trial that I got for this laptop, and I don't really want to install my new CD on here.

So, yes, you'll have to be a little more patient. D: I'm sorry, but it will be done before I go back to school.

Also, I got my GCSE results today.
They aren't amazing, but they are better than I expected them to be.
I got an A in Biology, a B in Chemistry, a B in Textiles (haha), B in English Language, D in English Literature, C in German and C in Physics. I also got B in Maths and D in History.
Like I said, not amazing but I'm happy with 'em. After all, I have had a rather rough past two years, so it wasn't expected that I would get incredible results.
